Win at the Remote Working Game

One of the great things about doing the work we do, is that we can do it from, literally, anywhere.

As long as we have access to a laptop, or phone, and the internet, we are good to go!

Working remotely does have it’s own set of challenges though. Let’s have a look at THREE points to remember as you work remotely:

  1. Be disciplined. Without a boss breathing down your neck, it can become easy to be complacent. Be your own neck-breathing boss! Give yourself deadlines and stick to them.
  2. Get up and get dressed. It may be a perk getting to stay in your PJs all day sometimes, but really, it helps to get dressed most of the time. Showering and dressing up a little help us feel fresh and put us in that professional mindset.
  3. Have structure. Have set times to eat, shower, relax and perform work duties throughout the day. It will help you get everything done, and also not overeat or spend too much time relaxing, leaving you in a panic.

Wherever you may be working at the moment, remember that the world is your oyster. Break free of traditional working norms, and take advantage of this new era of remote work. It takes effort and discipline, but in the end, if done properly, you will free up your life to … LIVE.
