Snacks (Inktober Day 11)

The prompt for today is “Snacks.”

Do you snack while you work? I do, and I thought I was the only one until I saw a meme about it! 😀

Seeing that I wasn’t the only one got me thinking about what the best snacks to have while working were, so I made a list for us all. These top five snacks can all be enjoyed in the office or at home. All of them are healthy and most are easy to prepare, too.

Enjoy!

  1. Nuts and dried fruit: The protein in the nuts and the carbs in the dried fruit will help you stay fuller for longer. The nuts will help keep you focused while you work.
  2. Raw veggies in a guacamole dip: The avocado in guacamole contains monounsaturated fats and other nutrients, and the vegetables provide fiber. The entire snack will give you a brain boost and keep you full for a while while you work.
  3. Roasted chickpeas: These are great to snack on. You can make your own or grab some from a store. They are high in protein, fiber and vitamens.
  4. Apples and peanut butter: Apples are high in fiber and water and peanut butter is high in protein. This power snack is great to keep your mind focused and will provide your body with energy, too.
  5. Unsweetened Greek yogurt: Enjoy this snack with a few slices of fresh fruit and nuts. It is high in protein and calcium and low in calories.
