World Book Day is on 23 April this year! Since it will be on Sunday, I have decided to celebrate today AND on Sunday!
For me, books are a part of my existence. It is like the story of a girl whose bones are bound and creaky like a well-used hardcover. Her skin shows her story like someone’s favorite novel. And as you move from chapter to chapter, you will find a winding, meandering, sometimes suspense-filled, sometimes funny, sometimes horrific tale…
Perhaps the most wonderous part of this story is that, when you reach the end, you will find the author, the girl herself, poised with a pen in her ink-stained hand, waiting and wondering with… is that a quiver?
Not even she knows where the next page will take her. How this story will unfold, page by page. But she is ready, with an expecting half-smile on her keen face.
“Let’s go.” She whispers. And the next chapter begins.
