We’ve been busy here at the Grammar Goblin headquarters, so I thought I’d share some of what we’ve been up to.
Some of our recent projects have included:
*Writing blog articles for our awesome clients and our own website
*Working with an amazing graphic designer and illustrator on a re-brand
*Chatting with an animator
*Mentoring an author
*Using greater skill and strategy with email templates
*Planning a social media marketing course
*Transcribing children’s stories from Sign Language to English
*Editing and proofreading manuscripts for clients
*Learning more about digital marketing (we never stop learning!!)
Since it’s Saturday, I’ve taken a moment today, to sit back and look at what has been going on, and what we’ve been learning since the beginning of the year.
Simply put, what has been the overriding experience, lesson, and spirit within the Grammar Goblin as we’ve been working super hard to provide a great service?
I would say… simplicity. There has been a great energy at the Goblin this year, and that energy has given me the opportunity to re-look processes, services, communication, and the business as a whole. What I’ve seen is a need for simplicity. And that simplicity is working its magic in all aspects of our work.
If you’re looking to add a little simplicity to your work life, you can start by clearly listing the items on your to-do list. Rank them according to urgency and then work through them, one at a time. Multi-tasking is the enemy of simplicity and, I am learning, of providing a good service.
Do you have any tips for keeping things simple at work? Please tell us in the comments and help spread the love.
Have a super weekend!
