Inktober

It’s the first of October, and I am filled with a great sense of inspiration. In fact, I have been waiting an entire year for this day!

This time last year, my friend and fellow entrepreneur Jess Voigt of Jet Creative Consulting and Jet Creative Studio took part in an Inktober challenge. For every single day of October, she created a hand-drawn masterpiece, and it occurred to me that while yes, artists are the ones typically associated with ink and paper, so are writers!

So, I have decided to participate in Inktober 2024! Every day this month, I will write something according to a prompt provided by the good people of inktober.com.

Am I hijacking a project created for artists? Yes. But I consider writing an art, too, and since I use ink for my art, too, I think it’s only fair that I should be allowed to participate as well.

And so, I leap off the starting block and run, wholeheartedly, into Inktober, ready to immerse myself in blotches of inky writing for the whole month!
