So, what is this funnel everyone keeps talking about?
When I first got into online marketing it seemed like the kind of thing people use to lure you and hook you into buying things and signing up for things you don’t want or need.
Now that I know a bit more, I can confidently share with you what it is, (Spoiler alert: it’s not about scamming people!!) so that you can use it for your business too!
Basically, a sales, or revenue, funnel, is the process of finding the right clients and building a relationship with them, in order to get them to support your business. It consists of the following phases:
• Awareness
• Interest
• Evaluation
• Decision
• Purchase
• Reevaluation
• Repurchase
Having a customer return for that repurchase phase is really the holy grail, as they are the customers who become your brand ambassadors. (more on that in another post)
The marketing and sales teams normally work together to make the funnel work and guide the right kind of customers to support the business. If you are working alone, it’s still possible to do this, especially if you are genuine and build real, lasting relationships with your audience and provide a quality service each time they come across you.
Research each phase of the sales funnel and see how you can make it work for you.
