Copyediting vs Proofreading

Did you know that we do copyediting and proofreading? So, what’s the difference?

Copyediting, or just editing, is available in light or full options. When we edit your manuscript, we go through it in great detail. We look for spelling and grammar errors, but also inaccuracies in tone, character development, flow, language, and more.

Proofreading is what we do after editing, just before you send that manuscript to the typesetter. In proofreading, we go through your manuscript one last time, checking for typos, spelling mistakes, and errors in grammar.

We offer both editing and proofreading at the Grammar Goblin and we absolutely love what we do! Seeing that perfect, finished product in your hands is what brings us ultimate joy!

Get in touch with us today to chat about having your manuscript edited and proofread by the Goblin. Contact us here, or emailĀ kelly@grammargoblin.co.za
