This is Panacea. She is one of my twin daughters and yes, she is drawing on my mirror with some wet chalk.
As I glanced up and saw this unfolding, my first instinct was to stop her… (the thought of the mess I would have to clean and the possibility of her falling) But then I took another look.
Here was this little girl expressing herself. There were no inhibitions, no limits, no rules, just her, having made a plan, carrying out an idea in a moment of inspiration.
And you know what? I left her. I let her draw her little heart out and then listened as she told me all about the picture.
Sometimes as adults, we get so bogged down by the “what if’s” and the repercussions of ideas that we don’t actually allow ourselves to express them.
So today, I’m encouraging you to take inspiration from this little girl and keep reaching. Make a plan and show us what you’ve got!
