Sun (Inktober Day 9)

The Inktober prompt for today is “Sun.”

I had a friend who used to greet me: “Good morning, Sonshine.” We were Christian, and it was the greatest compliment I think I had ever received.

I had another friend who, when we walked together, made me feel like golden sunshine was radiating from us both. It felt like a compliment just to be walking together.

There are so many opportunities to make people feel like sunshine. I like to jump at as many as possible. Do people sometimes get the wrong idea? Sure! Do I sometimes come across as a freak? Totally! But do I also get to spread some sunshine and joy in an otherwise grey and somewhat negative world? You bet!

My challenge for you today is to spread a little sunshine. You’ll find the ways that are right for you. Come on… let that light shine! 🙂
