What are you holding on to?
When we strive to succeed at something, we often have the image of the end product in mind. What we may fail to picture is what could be holding us back.
It could be something as simple as nasty words a school friend said to you in primary school, or it could be a lifelong belief about yourself and your abilities. Quite often, what is stopping us from succeeding is a certain holding on to something that no longer belongs in our lives.
My challenge for you today is to look, with truth, at your business, your work, and your dreams. Find those things that are real and true and necessary, and let go of what weighs you down.
How does this tie in with what I do? It comes in with the services we offer. I have always been a certain type of writer. I have never been a numbers or spreadsheet kind of girl. I have held on to notions of my abilities with technology that… I am now learning, are absolutely wrong.
I didn’t know that I could learn how to use new software in one or two uses. I thought I would never be able to crush new writing forms, and templates, and companies…
But here I am. I am dropping those old beliefs like an old pair of jeans that haven’t fitted for years, and I’m loving the metaphorical space I’m clearing for all these new skills and talents!
